29 Nov 2008 (sat)

A day i was waiting for very long..cos this is the day where my dear dear came back fr US..the purpose was to get married and also back for hm trip le..haha..

went to far east for waxing..so 'qiao' that i saw cecilia there too..haha..oh ya we din purposely meet up 1 wor..lol..

the time was passing super slow wor..cos i keep looking at my watch..haha..3hrs b4 the flight reached sg,i keep looking at the arrival time on the website..haha..finally it shown which terminal wor..i also kc cos i also so eager to see him..been 8 months plus liao..when the time came, i saw my dear i was so happy..haha donno wan to drop tears or wat le..lol..he looked hagged cos long time in flight..hugged him the moment i saw him..the warm n familiar hug that i used to hug.hee

30 Nov 2008 (sun)

This day was super busy for me n my dear..went to my mum place to get the car n as well have some bf..after that went to collect the GDL cakes..but was not ready by the time i went there..cos i was rather in a rush...

after that we went to fetch my parents than went hm to 'an chung'..lots of things to be done wor..n also clean my house..cos super messy le..first time my house looked like b CNY le..hahaafter tt dear dear go fetch his relative so call the 'matchmaker' to come to my house le..haha..had a great time mingle ard le..was at my house for an hour or 2..

after that we went to my bridal shop so that dear can get to measure his pants n try his suit wor..haha..Josphine let me try the newer gowns again..n within 2hrs over there i manage to change all my AD gowns to the newer ones..haha...after that meet mf n family for dinner le..haha..went to west coast to eat le...

This day we went to ROM to take our marriage certs..haha first time went there..my dear took me to walk from Park mall to the registry..its quite a distance compare to walk from SMU there.haha my dear say this is a road of 'xin ku' for us to walk thru.

3 Dec 2008 (Wed)

today we bascially did nothing..cos was too tired to do anything..from the day my dear reached hm..was very very tired le..haha..

4 Dec 2008 (Thur)

This day was super busy n the timing was upside down le..haha cos alot of last min things to be changed and done.

morning:we slp till 8 plus b4 we go collected the rental car @ pandan road that will be used on fri..nissen sunny: car no SDJ 1444 X..

afternoon:i went to do manicure & pedicure @ bukit merah there..seated there for at least 3hrs b4 my nails are ready..the experience there was good..cos my pedicure she do was super detail..feel my leg super clean le..haha..total damage abt $92..i find it rather cheap le..haha..compare to outside wor..

after that dear went hm n take the bridal car(which i borrow from my mum's fren)car model: Volvo S80 - Car Plate No:SCU 6688 M.

first time driving this car..hmmm the car was smooth in driving and also the system in the car was digital de..haha

went to the bridal shop for car deco but the weather was dizzling so no choice had to go to the mulit-storey carpark to deco le..also take our gowns n suits le..something crop up la..nv tell us in advance wor..

nite:
after all the things had done, it was almost 7pm liao..we had to faster fin up our stuff n also bring all the nesscary things up to individual house le..haha..i think after that i was too excited n anxious le..din slp well..

Here's a preview of my wedding guest bk..though the restaurant provide but i still like to do some DIY on my free time..though not completed yet will need the pics soon..hee

These few days i rushed to settle my ang bao box,bridemaid corsages and also send invites to my frens..was rather busy n at the same time headache n unhappy over minor things.better not to say le..

I had mailed out the invites to friends n relatives..I believe some of them had received the invites le..ps: i need ppl to RSVP with me le..so that i can arrange seating arrangement..

Today went shopping to choose the 4 dot gold and i finally bought these 2 items. One from my future-in-laws and one from my parents resepectively.Xie Xie ni men.

Had done 6 corsages liao..Total took me 1 day to complete all the DIY flowers and bracelets.It costs abt $10 for the materials for diy-ing.

My Wedding Ang Bao Box

Below are 2 pics of my ang bao box. The flowers are hand-made tt y I took half a day to do all..I find that the box are rather plain but will be modifying it by putting stickers..Suggestions are welcome!!

Finally some updates le..haha over the last 2 weekends i went back and fro to malaysia city square to print my inserts le..haha..lucky my two frens Ong & Loo accompany me go into JB respectively for the passed two weekends.So grateful of them..so in the end i treat the for lunch. City Square is like our Vivocity.Simlar concept after all..haha..

we went to eat Portguese Chicken(food is nice expect the sause is a bit too salty,spend RM$20) and Hong Kong Kim Gary(same as sg but slightly cheaper, cost RM$41.90 for 2 person),btw they have promotions there n also better than sgeach month they have free items when u r their members.

We went to TnT to print my inserts.it costed RM$100 inclusive of the map for 200pcs..therefore after converting it is still cheaper than in sg. after the long wait, i finally get my inserts liao..so happi..(b4 u go need to double check all the wordings are correct)mi check alot of times..haha :)

went there for shopping as well - we went to the wedding specialist store..their items are much much expensive than sg after comparison..than we went to another store which sells alot of gift items on the level 4..from there manage to get some ang bao packets,ribbons,stickers,paper..however they realli have limited choices....but its much more cheaper than the specialist store(total damage is RM$50).

well here are some updates:

1) I had confirm my videographer le..hee met him last fri to see his portfoilo...well first impression of him: he like bullet train - talk very fast n non-stop...well to me it seems that he is in a hurry to go off..well i donno is it cos of his gf is with him or wat..overall he is ok la..portfoilo taken nicely n offer to help mi do a simple montage for my wedding album..i need to choose 3 songs for the montage individual. One in the morning, one at banquet and one for the highlights..well we still manage to chat for 1hr plus..din noe the time past so fast..

2) My bridal corages i had done 4 liao..need another 2 more cos i gt 6 bridemaids..n need to get some ribbons to beauti-fied it.hee..

regards to the bestman - well manage to get 3 confirm..but the other 3 have to kiv wor cos they had something on n cant confirm with mi now..(whoever reading this oh...i need yr help anytime if i cant find enough brothers wor..(include my gf's bf wor) GAN XIE GAN XIE!!thanks in advance first)

3)my ang bao boxes huh..still hanging in the air..cos i need a better looking box to do wrap it le..haha..n also donno wan to buy another pair of turtle for my car ma le..


4) My wedding guest book le? haha i still considering whether wanna diy or use the restaurant's one...mi very ma fan..

5) My wedding invitation cards - still haven go print yet..now looking for kaki to pei mi go malaysia print n shop too..although i be going on 12 oct with aa fren, they need sometimes to print n takes abt a week..so i looking fo kaki to go on 5 oct (sun)..hee so i can send out the cards in due time...i so kan cheong liao le..

to add on: headache on where to put the guest to sit..stress on tt too..but i will put tt 1 later to handle cos haven confirm who will be coming le..not confirm yet..

ps: To all my frens, do leave some of yr time for mi to give out the invitation cards personally to u!!if not i be mailing it out to u wor!! See Ya soon!!

6) Still have 71 more days b4 my dear to reach sg..so looking forward le..

update update!!

hee went for my gown fitting the 2nd time round...hee heng joyce pei mi..as my other frens are not free le..anyway had a tiring and fun day trying for gowns..cos had used 3 hrs to try on differ gowns le...hee..tt day had to chose my evening gowns as well as to confirm my wedding and outdoor gowns...

had torn bwt the 2 evening gowns..1 is those traditional 'puffy puffy' cake type at the bottom..another 1 is those like in Athens.the ladies carry the olymics touch gowns..haha sian cos i not use to the look of the gowns lo..haha

wedding gowns:

there another 3 types for mi to choose as well..one is initally i chose during my 1st fitting...2nd one is with a ribbon in front le..3rd one is the 1 i eliminate during my second fitting but Mr Lee said tt it is nice wor...sian i also donno which to choose fr..

outdoor gowns:

their outdoor gowns had not much to choose from le...i do not realli like them le..but manage to choose 2 gowns..1 is the wedding gown, 1 is the evening gown le...those for outdoor purpose de.. din manage to take pics cos too tired le..

today i finally file my marriage with ROM le..so happy finally 1 thing is down liao..haha..mi hopefully can fin most of the wedding preparation by end of sept..so don need to headache over them..

jus a update: going for my gown fitting again on 8 sept...so excited!! need to slim down le..hee

well i had done up the e-invitation..had a mixed feelings for this.First, i wanna my frens to share my joy and happiness so tt they can booked that day specially for me lo..hee..Secondly, 1 of my fren commented that its a waste of time..although i done this last week using less than half a day..hmmm *thinking hard*

2)Braised Shark's Fin with Crabmeat
The indigents that are inside is yummy..esp there are lots of crabmeat and the fins too..Can be eaten without vinager and pepper!!



3)Sauteed Prawns with Chilli sause This pic show partially of the prawns onli..cos talk till forget to take pic le..lol..the prawns was yummy but a bit too salty le..it was not spicy at all..those who like chinese mee siam,the spicyness taste something like tt..



4)Steam ''Soon Hock' with Soya Sauce
I like this fish very much as the sauce was salty-sweet type le. But oh becareful of the bones le..btw i onli eat the fish meat le..hee



5)Braised Lingzhi Mushroom with Pearl Abalone
well this dish was nice n yummy..on top of the vege was the lingzhi mushroom and the side was the pearl abalone..abalone was soft enough and easy to bit thru. was indeed yummy..as my cousin ate almost 7 pieces of them..haha


6) Fillet of Smoked Duck
This is my favourite dish of all! The smell of smoked duck filled the air! It was to be eaten with bun and the sauce. Super Yummy!!

7)Stir-fried egg white with Scallops
This dish was also yummy..when eaten it was like drinking soup with indigents inside le..haha Nice nice le..Simple dish with simple layout.


8)Zha Jiang La Mian
It was too spicy for some ppl to take but the taste is nice..as my relatives n frens don take spicy food so in the end we change this dish to Ee Fu Noodle..

9)Chilled White Fungus with Red Date

More towards the chinese desert with red date . After all the delicious food, chilled desert helped u to smoothen yr stomach...

jus an update: i haven realli done anythings for my wedding this month le.keep slacking le..hee but i manage to buy a pair of white shoe.

for wg n eg: as i mention tt i had somehow confirm the wedding gown but need to wait for another batch of new gowns for wg n eg to arrive in sept so that i can confirm it n don need to headache over wat design to wear on my AD..


for JP : i had invited Dr Phua Tan Tee as our solemniser for the night. had planned my ROM to be earlier @6.30/7pm.still not yet decided wat time! I plan to do solmnisation earlier cos reasons being tt having to wait for most of guests to arrive,donno wat time can start solmnisation n dinner..scare tt they will be hungry. the 2nd reason is tt i would have enough time to mingle with the guests b4 the march in..haha..think of this donno when time comes i will excited n wobby legs ma..
